This Autumn, Lorraine and Ricky will take their new album The Great Lakes on the road under the name McIntosh Ross.

After more than two decades in and out of Deacon Blue, Lorraine has launched a career as an actress while Ricky has been working as a songwriter for artists including James Blunt and Jamie Cullum.

At the same time, writing, recording and performing their own music remains central in both their lives and the pair decided they wanted to make an album together of beautiful, meaningful and simple songs that they could call, justly and equally, their own.

The result is The Great Lakes, an album of supreme melodic grace and spiritual purity, which combines echoes of the duo's Celtic homeland with the country twang of the American south.
